It was morning in The Valley and a sunny morning at that. Looking up and down the street, all you can see are children on their way to school. They walk alone or in pairs or threesomes. Some walk with their parents. Some ride by on bikes, some arrive by car, and some arrive on rumbling yellow school buses. 
	  
They all were headed in one direction - West Valley Elementary School.

Parker walks down the sidewalk with his little sister Punky. 

When Punky and Parker walk past Wolfina's house, they see Little Minnie, Wolfina's cat. Punky loves Little Minnie. She wishes she could have a cat too, but Mom is allergic. Mom says maybe they can get a dog when Punky's eight, but that's two whole years away. Life is so unfair.

Little Minnie rubs against the gate. Punky kneels down to pet her, and Minnie just purr-r-r-s and purr-r-r-s. "Hi Min Min. Hi Min Min," Punky croons in a high pitched voice. "You're such a good girl." (Press Extra Button)

This makes her older brother really impatient.
